Professional Head Coach – Paul Whintors is a graduate from Cornell University which is an Ivy League school that he received a full ride Hockey Scholarship to. Paul is a powerful defenseman and enjoys rushing the puck. He has 25 years of coaching under his belt. He currently is the head coach of the Surrey Junior B Knights, the Peewee Rep. Girls team. He has coached all levels of hockey from H1 to Midget AAA. Paul’s speciality is skating and he has been referred to as the ‘skate doctor’. He is currently traveling to China to work with clients on skating technique. Paul’s breakdown of the skating stride is second to none. He has worked extensively with Langley Minor Hockey providing skating development to H1-H4 teams along with Midget AA, PeeWee A1 and Bantam A1.
Brad had an extensive hockey background as he has played in all the junior leagues operational in Western Canada including the Kootney International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL), the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL), and the Western Hockey League (WHL). Brad also went on to play in the Alberta Collages Athletic Conference (ACAC) winning a championship with the Mt Royal Cougars. He then played in the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League (BCIHL) for three years as the team captain while obtaining a Corporate Communications degree (BACC) from Trinity Western University.
Brad has been working with Paul Whintors for the past five years at Complex Hockey, together developing young hockey players in shooting and skating techniques. Brad loves to play the game of hockey and has come to find a new passion in coaching as he “wants to give players every opportunity to excel and continue to improve in their pursuit for the next level”.
Gary Mahesh is a top notch fitness and hockey expert and has played on several Junior teams throughout his career. Gary knows what it takes to get to the next level.
